Vito Ciparis Obituary

Vito “Skippy” Ciparis, 87, of Keansburg, passed away on Thursday, February 19th, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He was born and raised in Elizabeth, prior to moving to Keansburg in 1954. Vito was an Ironworker in Elizabeth for 15 years, was a tool and die maker for Singer for 25 years and was a maintenance worker for Keansburg Housing Authority for 20 years. Vito also was a member of the VFW Post 1953 then the West Keansburg VFW Post 4303; The American Legion Post 279 in Keansburg and the Moose Lodge in Keansburg. He enjoyed painting, puzzles, fishing and crabbing. Vito was pre-deceased by his 1st wife Joan Green-Ciparis and his 2nd wife Audrey Gallant-Ciparis, 3 siblings Adam, Stanley and Grace Warnicke and his son in-law Steven Satterfield. Surviving are his 2 sons and daughters in-law Jerome and Shellie Ciparis of Kendall Park and Kenneth and Nadine Ciparis of Middletown; 3 daughters and sons in-law Linda and Nicholas Gianaras of North Brunswick, Janet and Brandan Emley of Ocean and Alice Satterfield of Arizona; his step-son and daughter in-law Thomas and Christine Gallant of North Carolina; his step daughter and son in-law Martine and John Tice of Texas; his brother John Ciparis of Forked River; his sister Pauline Gurval of Rahway; 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, February 28th 2015 from 2-4PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation was private.
