William Parker Obituary

William K. Parker passed away suddenly at his Toms River home Sunday, January 6. Born in Jersey City, Billy moved to Keansburg in 1959 and married his soul mate and love of his life Virginia where he raised five children. A hard working man his entire life, Billy worked two jobs to provide for his family as a Teamster truck driver for 41 years, retiring from ABF Freight in 2002 and also as a bartender at the old Heidelberg Inn on the boardwalk in Keansburg, NJ for 22 years. For those whose lives he touched, he will be remembered as a loving and devoted man that would do anything for anyone especially his family. Billy was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. His passion for his family can not be explained, he will be missed dearly by his family and friends, the world will never be the same without Billy Parker and his infectious smile. Willie P was a simple man who enjoyed his weekly card games, trips to AC, and community activities with his treasured friends. Poppy was his family's rock, always there with his words of wisdom, patience, love, and understanding. Billy was predeceased by his parents William & Marie (Mumm) Parker and in-laws Salvatore & Frances Rinaldi. Sisters, Theresa Carson, Carol McKenna and Peggy Rutherford. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Virginia Rinaldi Parker, children, Marlene and Peter Vallone of Middletown, Carlene and Francis Farrell of Hazlet, William and Dina Parker of Hazlet, Salvatore and Karen Parker of Asbury Park, Kelly and Frank Derise of North Middletown, and his sixteen adoring grandchildren. Sisters and brothers, Joann Tirado, Donna Mercado, Ronald Haegele, Joseph Haegele, Michael Parker, Donald and Genieve Potenza, Angela Marino, Connie LaMonica and Mary Rinaldi; a brother in-law Vincent McKenna of Jackson and countless nieces, nephews and friends. Family will be accepting visitors at Jacqueline Ryan's Funeral Home in Keansburg, NJ on Thursday & Friday, 2-4 p.m & 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be held Saturday 10:15 a.m at St. Ann Church in Keansburg. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet in Middletown, NJ.
