William Welch

William (Billy) J. Welch Jr., 39, of Keyport, passed away on Sunday December 15th, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He was born in Long Branch, lived in Middletown, prior to moving to Keyport 5 years ago. Billy was a self-employed construction worker, loved working on cars and was an avid Falcons fan and hunter. Billy was an all-around fun loving guy. Billy was pre-deceased by his father William J. Welch Sr. in 1986. Surviving is his mother Marian Welch of Toms River; his son Joseph Hughes of Minnesota; 2 daughters Cheyenne Kodie Welch of Keyport and Felicia Hughes of Minnesota; 3 sisters Margaret Gutjahr of Forked River, Elizabeth Bennett and Jill Fisler of Keyport and his grandson Leo J. Neid of Minnesota. Family will be accepting friends on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals, 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
