Zoraida M. Martinez, 96, of Hazlet, passed away on Sunday, January 19th, at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel. She was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, and lived there until moving to Hazlet 19 years ago. Zoraida worked as a seamstress. She was a member of St. Ann's Church, Keansburg. Zoraida enjoyed Spanish TV, playing domino's, playing bingo, doing scratch off's, having a glass of wine or beer, chicken wings, but most of all she loved being with her family. Zoraida was predeceased by her husband; Wilber. She is survived by her daughter and son in-law; Daisy and Edwin Rodriguez of Hazlet, a brother and sister in-law; Jose and Gloria Martinez of Teaneck, 2 grandchildren; Edwin and Jennifer Rodriguez of Keansburg and Diana Rodriguez of Hazlet, 1 great grandchild, Olivia; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, January 22, from 2-4 PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. There will be a religious service at 3:30 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
