Alan Laymon Obituary

Alan Carson Laymon passed peacefully at home on January 29, 2019. He was born September 6, 1938 in Trenton to Carl and Alma Laymon. He graduated from Brown University and was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. While at Brown, he began playing bridge, and as a student played in tournaments from Boston to Charleston. He served in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service. He began his career on Madison Avenue starting at Young & Rubicam and continuing at CBS Sports. He is survived by his wife Susan, son Alan and his wife Linda, daughter Toby and her husband Patrick, and daughter Alexandra. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Connor and Chance Laymon, Jane and Holden McKenna. He served on the Mantoloking Borough Council for 10 years. He was a member of All Saints Church, Bay Head, The Yale Club of NYC, The Mantoloking Yacht Club, and the VFW, Pt. Pleasant Beach. In his younger days, he enjoyed swimming in the ocean, playing tennis, and he was always ready for a good card game. A Memorial Service will be held later in the year. Timothy E.
