Rose Iatesta Ackert, 93 of Manahawkin, died peacefully on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin. Born in Orange, she had lived East Orange before moving to Manahawkin 22 years ago. Rose was predeceased by her husband Robert Ackert in 2002. Surviving are her 4 daughters, Patricia Nash, Linda Lawlor, Judith Sturiale and Susan Guarente; 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 26 at 11 am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 312 Ridgedale Avenue in East Hanover followed by an interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meridian Hospice C/O Meridian Health Foundation, 1340 Campus Parkway, Blg C, Unit 4, Neptune, NJ 07753.
