Due to the inclement weather all services for today, Thursday, January 4 are canceled, visitation will be held on Friday from 1-2 pm followed by a Mass at 2:30 pm. Wesley Sanderson, Jr., 77 of Tinton Falls, died Sunday, December 31, 2017. Born in Long Branch, he had lived the past 24 years in Tinton Falls. Wesley was an electrician with IBEW Local 400 in Wall for 47 years before retiring in 2006, where he was known as “Weasel” to his fellow union members. He was predeceased by his parents, Wesley and Elizabeth Sanderson, his brother, Wayne and sister, Gail Buck. Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Michele Sanderson; 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Leslie and Michael Goszka; Valary and Bruce Brett; Cheryl Farr; a son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin and Faith Farr, Jr; his brother, Allan Sanderson; his sister, Marilyn LeValley; 9 grandchildren and additional family members, Craig, Jill and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5 from 1-2 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave in Long Branch followed by a 2:30 pm Mass at Star of the Sea Church in Long Branch. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in West Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
