Louis White

“Home is the sailor, home from the sea, And the hunter home from the hill.” Louis “Mike” White, Sr., departed this world on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Mike was born in Eastport, Maine on Oct. 3, 1929, one of seven children to the late Louis Augustine White and Virginia Porter Gray. He returned each summer to his beloved Eastport for reunions with cherished family members and friends and will make his final trip there for interment this summer. Mike went on to join the Navy and enjoyed a 23 year career as a hospital corpsman with service in Vietnam, 1966-67. His career culminated in retirement as Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman on Aug 4, 1970. Mike was an avid outdoorsmen and loved to hunt and fish with his two sons and best friend Ray Presutti. He was also a devoted family man whose loss will be greatly felt by his loving wife of 66 years, Florence (Segaline) and their children and childrens’ spouses (Barbara White Morgan (deceased), Kathryn White, Michael and JoAnn White, Suzanne and Tom Unger, Christopher and Karen White, Marianne Brogan); also granddaughter Jennifer Morgan Koengetter and her husband Robert as well as nine other grandchildren (Timothy, Bridget, Caitlin, Shannon, Mark, Kyle, Camryn, Gabrielle, Kiersten) and seven great-grandchildren (Madalyn, Rachel, Felicity, Declan, Liam, Saoirse, Myrah). Also mourning his loss will be his only surviving sibling Patricia White Morgan of Canton, Mass. and in-laws, Geraldine Segaline Vanderslice and Frank Segaline. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday, September 22 from 10:00-11:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Marlton, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM.
