Albert Welsh Mays Landing, New Jersey Obituary

Albert Welsh

Albert E. Welsh IV, 33, of Atlantic City, formerly of Mays Landing, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2017 surrounded by his loved ones. Albert graduated from St. Vincent de Paul School and Oakcrest High School, class of 2003. Albert also received certification from ACIT in the electrical trade. After completing his electrical training, Albert worked at Charles Marsden ARS Electric in South Dennis. He was most recently employed as an electrician by Horn Electric in Ventnor City. Albert was a former boy scout and avid fishermen. In his free time, Albert enjoyed creating DIY wood and electrical projects and attending annual beard and mustache competitions. He was a diehard Phillies fan and an enthusiast of concerts, with an appreciation of all kinds of music. Albert also loved camping, paintball, puzzles, kids, and dogs. He was known for his laid back, easy-going personality, his dry, witty sense of humor, and his glorious mustache and beard. He was always willing to help anyone in need and was a truly kind, generous, thoughtful, human being. Albert was loved by everyone he met because of his quirky, eccentric, magnetic personality, a free spirit with a love of pirates, Vikings, and zombies. Albert, our “Gentle Giant”, will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and soulmate, Angela. Albert is survived by his mother, Joy, sisters, Victoria and Samantha, grandparents, Anthony and Regina DeMasi, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Albert is predeceased by his aunt, Regina DeMasi-O’Neil and uncle, Anthony DeMasi. Albert leaves behind his beloved girlfriend and guardian angel, Angela Stone, and his two pet rats, Rudy and Cannoli. A Celebration of Albert’s Life will take place on Friday, March 31, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 5021 Harding Hwy., Mays Landing, NJ. A gathering will be held from 10:00am-11am, followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Albert’s name to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, “a volunteer-powered charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long, healthy lives”. Albert was passionate about this cause and raised money for it every St. Patrick’s Day with the annual Head-Shaving Event.
