Athena Grieco

Grieco, Athena Melanie, (nee: Stein) succumbed after a long year of battling late-stage lung cancer, in her Mays Landing home early this Tuesday evening at 7:05 pm. She was 58. Athena was a lover of animals, knowledge, and — most of all — love. To those who she decided to love, her devotion was total, even in the face of personal struggles. She is survived by her pets, Kiana and Mona; her three brothers: Ares, Robert and Brian; her sister, Gale; two ex-husbands, Jim and Frank; her son, Tye; her nieces and nephews; and her mother, Agnes. She will be missed.
