Benjamin Hess

Ben "BePop" Hess, 75, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2014. Ben exemplified what it means to be a good man; to love and take care of your family, always be there for your friends and always stand up for what you believe in. He valued a good days work, a good truck and a cold beer, often in that order. He knew the power of prayer and applied it daily, but still went to church on Sunday. We will miss his sarcastic humor, his made up songs and language. We'll always remember his adherence to real values and his overwhelmingly sincere heart. He touched us all deeply and will be greatly missed by family and friends. By his good graces in life, Ben will once again ask his wife to dance a polka, and once again she will say "yes". "Hold on tight MaryAnn, I am going to spin you fast." We invite you to join us on Friday, January 24th at St. Vincent de Paul Church for a memorial gathering at 10:00 am with mass at 11.
