Bertha Fleming Obituary

Bertha Mae Fleming (Peterson), 73 of Vineland, died Sunday, October 24, 2010 in South Jersey Regional Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Bertha was married to Archie Fleming in 1957, from this union three children were born: Rhonda from Milmay, Michael and Archie Jr. from Vineland. Bertha was born in Leslie, GA and relocated to Mays Landing at an early age. She attended County Schools, graduating from Pleasantville High School. Being interested in Christ and good deeds, Bertha attended St. James AME Church, where Rec. Marsh was pastor and Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, pastor Rev. Guyton. At both churches she sang on Jr. choir and attended Sunday School. Later in her Christian fellowship, she joined Cross Roads Christian Ministries, Pastor M.T. Munson. Serving until her illness prevented her attendance, but her heart and good wishes were always with those of the church. She enjoyed the Word taught by Rev. M.T. Munson and was able to speak of his message to others. She is predeceased by her husband Archie Sr. and her parents, George and Ossie Peterson. Memories of a loving mother: Rhonda Fleming-Stokes of Milmay, Michael and Archie Jr. of Vineland.
