Carmine Accordino

Carmine L. Accordino , 82, of Mays Landing, NJ, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, December 11, 2011. Born in New Brunswick, NJ to the late Eutalia and Nunzio Accordino, he is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Lillian (Cutro) Accordino, four children, Suzanne Accordino, Monica DeSanto, Steven Accordino and Matthew Accordino, daughter in law Linda Accordino, son in law, Stephen Ogden, and 5 grandchildren, Matthew and Amanda DeSanto, Jairus and Jessica Accordino and Brooke Accordino. Carmine served in the United States Navy as a proud member of the Elite UDT / SEAL Training Class “1” in Little Creek, VA. He was assigned to UDT Team 2 and served in the Korean War. Afterward, he married Lillian Cutro and settled in Peekskill, NY, where they raised their family. He worked for the City of New York, Department of EPA until his retirement in 1978. He also owned and operated Westchester Sports Film Lab, processing sports films for high schools in 4 counties. Carmine was also the Director of Motion Picture Operations for the New York Giants from 1972 to 1979. After moving to Arizona in 1980, Carmine enjoyed his retirement in the valley of the sun. He and Lillian moved to Mays Landing in 2003 where they enjoyed fishing, traveling and watching their grandchildren grow. A viewing will be on Wednesday, December 14th from 4 to 7:30pm at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, followed by a service at 7:30pm. Burial will be private.
