Cathleen Foster (Taylor), 73, of Mays Landing, passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2017. A lifelong Mays Landing resident, she was a 1963 graduate of Oakcrest High School and a graduate of Bucknell University. She retired as a 3rd grade teacher in Hamilton Township, most recently teaching at The Hess School. Cathleen devoted her life to faith, family, friends, and community service. Her passion was singing, especially with the St. Peter’s United Methodist Church and Masterworks Choir in Ocean City and for several years she directed the Mays Landing Community Choir as well as the First United Methodist Church Choir in Mays Landing. She was predeceased by her son David. Cathleen is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bruce; son Robert (Debra); daughter-in-law Shari’; grandchildren: Brianna, Brett, Hailey, and Grace; and her sister Linda Corson (Alan). Burial will be private. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, 501 E. 8th St., Ocean City, where family and friends may gather from 10-11 AM and a service will be held at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Peter’s United Methodist Church Choir or a charity of your choice.
