Charles Beagan, Jr.

Charles ‘Charlie’ Vincent Beagan, Jr – 83 of Mays Landing, died on October 30, 2017. He was born on December 18, 1933 in New York City, NY. Charlie grew up in NYC, lived in Gaithersburg, MD and for the last 26 years has lived in Mays Landing, NJ. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles Vincent Beagan, Sr and Lillian (Jean) Wood Beagan, and his sister Joan Beagan Fredlainder. He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn, his sister (Sister Jean Beagan), his three daughters (Allison, Deidra, and Erin), his two step-children (Ed and Deanna), 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Charlie proudly served in the US Coast Guard during the Korean War. He graduated from University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. He worked for IBM for 38 years before retiring in 1994. Charlie was a lifelong fan of the NY Yankees and Washington Redskins. He enjoyed vacationing in Williamsburg, VA; Garden City, SC; and Shenandoah Valley, VA. A mass of Christian burial will be held 11AM, on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at the St. Vincent DePaul Church, 5021 Harding Hwy, Mays Landing, NJ, where friends may gather from 10:30 till the time of the mass. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.
