Lusch, Charles "Charlie",59, of Pleasantville, lost his final battle on May 17, 2008 at Shore Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Atlantic City, he was a lifelong area resident. Charlie served 3 terms in the US Marine Corps from 1967-1973 in Vietnam. After his military service he was a police office with the Atlantic City Police Department for 10 years. After his retirement from the police department he owned numerous local businesses. He will be fondly remembered as a dedicated soldier, police officer and friend. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00pm, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing. Burial with military honors will be held on Friday at 12noon at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Route 50, Estell Manor, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shore Memorial Hospital, ICU Unit, Attn: Development Office, 1 E. New York Ave., Somers Point, NJ 08244.
