Shemanski, Christopher John "Dutch", born April 14, 1982, passed away on May 24, 2009.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Dr. Stan and Bonita Smith of Mays Landing and grandparents Leonard and Betty Coleman of Reading, PA.

Chris had an extended family and many beloved friends in many places. His passions were travel, music, and creating master sandcastles for which he won awards. He was also passionate toward the needy and homeless.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, 1 PM, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where friends may gather from 12 Noon until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Community Food Bank New Jersey/Southern Branch, 6735 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Twp., NJ 08234 or Sister Jean's Soup Kitchen, c/o Victory First Presbyterian Church, 1013 Pacific Ave., Atlantic City, NJ 08401. Acts of kindness would be a great way to remember Christopher.
