Obituary of Clifford A. Taylor, Jr. 1952-2015 Clifford Alexander Taylor, Jr. of Vineland, NJ departed this life on August 6, 2015; surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on August 2, 1952 in the city of Pittsburgh, PA to the late Clifford A. Taylor, Sr. and Lucille Elizabeth Watts-Taylor. His family relocated to Mizpah, NJ in June 1960. He attended the local public schools and graduated from Oakcrest High School in 1973. He worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for twenty years in the Hammonton and Vineland areas. “Alex” as he was affectionately known to his family and friends had a sultry soprano voice, and sang with local bands, including “Cintnalta” and prominent gospel group the “Gospel Jays” of Atlanta, GA. He will always be remembered for hosting his fabulous all occasion parties. He was predeceased by his mother, Lucille Elizabeth Watts-Taylor and father Clifford A. Taylor, Sr., his eldest brother Elmer Bey, Jr. He leaves to mourn and cherish his loving memories, his sisters, Darleen Bey-Blocker (Charles W. Austin) of Pleasantville, NJ; Charlotte Bey of Vineland, NJ, Kim Price of Atlanta, GA, Gale Taylor of Philadelphia, PA and his brother Donnie Taylor of Atlanta, GA. A special aunt, Mrs. Willa Ashley of Mizpha, NJ, one uncle, Daniel Jackson of Mays Landing, NJ and a very special niece Ms. Deborah Dee Dee Blocker of Pleasantville, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral arrangements by Boakes Funeral Home 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, NJ 08330. Services will be private.
