Domenica McGrogan

Domenica Madeline McGrogan (nee: Travia) “Our Little Margie” Born December 7, 1919, Margie lived much of her young life in Paterson, NJ. She married her husband Harold on November 9, 1941, and they enjoyed their life together in North Jersey. She retired from Brooks Brothers Shirt Company after 27 years. She then devoted 10 years to volunteering at Wayne General Hospital, Wayne, NJ, where she dedicated more than 5,000 hours of service. In her retirement, she moved to Williamstown, NJ. In 2012, after a mild stroke, she moved to Royal Suites Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, where she received loving care from family and staff until her peaceful passing on November 9, 2018, on her 77th wedding anniversary, at 98 years old. She has left this world to be with God, as well as her husband, parents, siblings, and friends. She was a strong, generous, loving, and honest woman, who will be greatly missed by those who loved and cherished her. She is survived by her siblings Angelina (“Tiny”) Galease, Viginzina (“Ginger”) Travia, and Joseph (“Joey”) Travia. She is also survived by her children JoAnne Warner, along with loving husband Harry Warner, two children Jerry and Ricky McCann, and two granddaughters, Brittany and Nicole McCann; Dr. Harold (“Skip”) McGrogan, Jr., along with his loving wife, Luly McGrogan, and children; and Lorraine Vreeland, along with her loving husband Ron Vreeland, two sons, John and Ronnie Vreeland, daughter, Stephanie Samson, and grandchildren. Per her wishes, there will be no viewing. Arrangements are being made by Boakes Funeral Home in Mays Landing. Our dearest Margie is being interred with her husband, Harold, at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. Rest peacefully, Our Little Margie. You will be truly missed, forever loved, and remembered by your family.
