Earl Voudren

Retired ACPD Detective Earl V. Voudren, Jr, deceased peacefully after a brave battle against cancer while surrounded by his Family and Friends in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey on December 21, 2014 at the age of 65. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 25, 1949. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Vincent Voudren, Sr. He was survived by his Mother Antoinette (Gitto) Voudren of New Jersey, Sister Barbara A. McMeekin of New Jersey, Uncle Peter Gitto, His Son Earl Post and his wife Rose. Also survived by his Niece Roxane K. Hoffmann, Karen K. McMeekin, Mrs. Jennifer A. Butcher, grandchildren Britany, Jacob, Tiffany, Brittany and Nicole. He is sadly missed by his close friend and companion, Patty Neville. A special thanks to his dear friends, Louie, Craig, Michelle, and Peggy for their help and support with Earl's care. Earl was proud that he served in the United States Army for 3 years and was honorably discharged at the rank of Specialist Five. Earl began his career with the Atlantic City Police Department in 1974 as a special police officer and retired as a detective with the vice squad after 25 years of service. He was a devoted Son, Brother, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend. Earl the Squirrel was also an avid Skier and outdoors man, wonderful cook. A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Earl on Sunday, January 11, 2015, from 1pm to 4pm at The Fairways Community Center located at 1801 Cates Road, Mays Landing, New Jersey.
