Edward B. Hoffman

Edward B. Hoffman, Sr., 69, of Mays Landing, passed away on December 20, 2014 after a brief battle with cancer. Ed was born in Johnstown, PA, raised in Cedarbrook, and moved to Mays Landing in 1950. He was a foreman for William B. Kessler Clothing factory of Hammonton for many years. In 1978 he opened Ed’s Auto of Mays Landing where he enjoyed talking with his local community. Ed enjoyed his mud truck racing with his family and friends over the past 15 years. He also loved going on Cruises with his wife, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten by his wife Arlene, his four children Ed Jr., Jackie Johnson (Ballard), Larry, Michelle James (Brian), his step-daughter Leeann Stuller (Joe), his step-sons Larry Joslyn (Tina) and Walt Jenigan (Patty), his grandchildren, his sisters Becky, Norine, Anna, Mildred, Eleanor, Betty, and Hilda, his brothers Larry and John, special friend Janece Lipka, and numerous other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Harry, his sister Mary, and his brothers Richard and Harry Jr. A Celebration of Ed’s life will be held on Saturday, December 27th, from 10am-12noon, at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, NJ 08330, where services will be shared at 12noon. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 6550 Delilah Rd., Suite 501, Egg Harbor Twp., NJ 08234 or American Cancer Society, South Jersey Region, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
