Eileen Conover

Eileen Carol Conover, Age 68, of Cape May Court House, formerly from Hammonton and Mays landing NJ, passed away on Thursday March 10th, 2016 around 10 pm at Southern Ocean Medical Center after battling cancer. Eileen was born on Christmas Day 1947 in Absecon, NJ to Bernard Conover and Emilia Pagni. Bernard and Emilia had two children, Eileen and her sister Adella. Eileen graduated from Oakcest High School in Mays landing, studied at Rutgers University, and graduated with a business degree. She worked hard her whole life, once working for Resorts as a lead purchasing agent and then later in her years for the Confectionaries Union at Kellogg's. She was an avid antiques collector who loved spending time by the water whether it was taking her row boat out with her sister as a child or going fishing/crabbing in her later years with her family. She married Joseph Gigliotti in 1967 and had four children with him, Joseph Gigliotti Jr., who preceded her in 2000, being her first born. Eileen never stopped mourning that loss. With Joseph she also had Christopher Gigliotti , Elissa Gigliotti, and Nicole Gigliotti, all of whom survive her. Eileen married James Burnisky, Sr. in 1983 and had two children with him: James Burnisky, Jr. and David Burnisky, who survive her. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Melissa and Jacquiline Kane, Joseph and Christian Gigliotti, Christina Gigliotti, and Jacob Burnisky. She is also survived by niece Gina Monfredo, and Cheryl Grier. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 1-3 PM at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where services will be held at 3 PM. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
