Elizabeth Sorg

Elizabeth A. Sorg (nee: DeAngelis), 77, affectionately known as “Betty”, formerly of Egg Harbor City, departed this life on December 4, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was a deeply devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother as well as a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was adored and deeply respected by all who knew her including her co-workers & customers during her years in the hospitality department of Renault Winery and her 25 years as a kitchen designer for Apex Lumber of Trenton. She enjoyed reading, walking, and white water rafting, but her true passion was spending time with family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Esperanto and Ruth “Mitzi” DeAngelis, her siblings Anita McDevitt and Joseph DeAngelis. Betty will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her two children, Gretchen Sorg of Marlton, Butch Sorg and his wife Debra of Estell Manor, her grandchildren: Christina Whalen (Joseph), Jason Konopka, and Lauren Konopka, and her great-granddaughter Juliana Whalen all of Marlton, four siblings: Helen Strohm of CA, Jeffrey DeAngelis of FL, Zachary DeAngelis (Linda) of Hammonton, and John DeAngelis (Lorie) of Northfield, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 9th, 11:00am, where friends and Family may gather from 10am till the time of the mass at the St. Vincent DePaul Church, Rt. 50 & 2nd St., Mays Landing, NJ. Burial will be in Egg Harbor City Cemetery.
