Elwood Duncan Obituary

Elwood C. Duncan, Sr., of Minotola, passed away on March 13, 2011 after a brief illness. Born in Riverside, NJ he attended Hammonton Schools. He was a veteran of the US Army. He attended M.T.A Truck Driving School in Bridgewater and worked for many years in K&H Auto Parts. He also drove for Mays Landing Transportation and most recently for J. Spinelli & Sons. He loved country music, his trips to Lancaster, PA, travelling with his wife, and historic cars and his motorcycles. He is survived by his loving and most devoted wife Jean; sons William Paulus and his wife Lynda; daughter Stephanie Rotellini and husband Christ both of Hammonton; daughter Nicolle Chapman and her husband Kevin of Minotola; five grandchildren: Samantha Duncan, Crystal Pauls, Rachel Paulus, Christina Rotellini and Rhiannon Chapman; brother Raymond Duncan, Jr., sisters: Eleanor Harrison, Leona DeVault, Barbara Billman and Shirley Denning; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Senior Airman Elwood “Chuck” Duncan, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his memory on Friday, April 1, 2011 from 1-2 PM at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing where reflections by family and friends will be shared at 2 PM. Burial will be private.
