Emerson Warwick, 91 - of Mays Landing died peacefully in his son’s home on March 25. He is predeceased by his wife Doris and his daughter Barbara Sanders. Emerson was born on April 24, 1920 in Delmont. He served as company clerk in WW2 and was awarded the Bronze Star and several other decorations and citations. 1945 he returned from the war and met Doris Williams; they were married for 60 years and had two children Lawrence Emerson and Barbara Ann. He was a very devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. From 1947 to 1965 Emerson and family lived in Tampa Florida, he worked at Kraft Foods as office manager for 16 years. He then moved to Millville, NJ and worked for Ford Scott & Associates of Ocean City for 20 years as an accountant. He retired in 1987. Emerson and Doris moved to Mays Landing to the Oaks of Weymouth in 1995 to be closer to their family. Emerson moved to Barbara and George Sander’s home after his wife died in 2007. The last several months he lived with Larry and Shelly Warwick of Ventnor, his son and daughter-in-law. Emerson will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his Son Lawrence Warwick and his wife Michelle, his son-in-law George Sanders and grandchildren, Christine DeGraff, Paul Warwick, Daniel Warwick, John Warwick, Wendy McKensie, Jessica Terruso, Dale Sanders and all the great grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, April 14, at Veterans Cemetery at the Atlantic County Park in Estelle Manor at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Barbara Sanders may be made to Ruth Newman Shapiro Cancer and Heart Fund, 7223 Ventnor Ave. Ventnor, NJ 08406 (609) 487-1190.
