Eric L. Milne, “Rici”, 40, of Egg Harbor City, born on January 23, 1971, passed away on December 21, 2011 at his home.
Eric was involved in many areas of community service, including a Traffic Safety Instructor, a CPR and First Aid Instructor with AtlantiCare, an EMT with Twp. of Hamilton Rescue Squad, and a member of the Critical Incident Stress Management Team of NJ. He was a Sheriff’s Officer for 23 years with the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department. Eric was instrumental in starting the LifeSaver Bracelet program for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and the dog tracking program with Officer Luke. During his career as a Sheriff’s Officer he was also involved in the Toys for Kids and Children’s Car Seat Safety campaigns.
Eric was a member of the Egg Harbor City Moravian Church, a Past Master of Hiram T. Dewey Lodge F&AM #226, and Scottish Rite.
Eric was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Adelaide and Lewis Milne; his maternal grandparents, Edna and Ralph Edelbach; and his sister, Bonnie Louise Milne.
Eric is survived by his daughter, Mollie Anne Milne; his son, Aaron A. Milne; his parents, Lewis and Gail Milne; his beloved family dogs, all from Egg Harbor City; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives; and numerous friends.
Burial services will be private, at the convenience of the family.
