Flora V. Carroll, 90, formerly of Willingboro, NJ passed away March 8, 2017. Born in 1926 to Louis R.M. Carroll and Ann Jane [Jean] Carroll, nee Gallagher. She grew up in Camden, attending parochial schools and graduated from Camden Catholic High School in 1944. She started working for RCA, Camden in the factory after school and moved up through various data processing positions, retiring in 1988 with 44 years of service. Even in retirement she enjoyed the monthly RCA/GE luncheons with friends she had made through those years. For many years she also assisted her father in Louis Carroll Photography, especially in nightclubs, photographing acts and patrons. The photography bug never left her and she was a visual chronicler of the entire family through her life. In 1966 she moved to Willingboro as one of Levitt’s original owners and immediately started meeting her new neighbors and parishioners. She made more friends just walking around the neighborhoods with one of the many dogs she had over the years. Active in the community and church, she coached CYO softball, participated in Neighborhood Watch and was very active in the Holy Innocent Society. But her real genius was as daughter, sister, aunt. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her family. She attended or hosted every holiday, birthday, wedding, funeral or Sunday get-together near and far, happy to see her close and extended family members. As children she made sure we were all in by the time the street lights came on, handed out the money for the ice cream truck, shared her love of travel by including all of us on her various adventures around the country and loved us all unconditionally. It was a milestone moment for every child in the family to finally be taller than Aunt Flora. Flora was predeceased by her parents, sister Mary Jane Wagner, brother James L. Carroll and nephew Daniel Carroll. She is survived by her nieces and nephews: James M. Carroll (Zelma) of Panorama, Australia; Peggy Carroll (Sydney Drake) of Prunedale, CA; Carroll Wagner (John Lewis) of Mays Landing, NJ; Susan Wagner (Eugene Zawoiski) of Westfield, NJ; Paul Wagner (Jennifer Murphy) of Florence AL; Christopher Wagner (Inge) of Anniston, AL; Tina Ritondaro (Peter) of Vineland, NJ and 12 great nieces/nephews and 12 great-great nieces/nephews. She is also survived by her first cousin Flora Riddle of Medford, NJ and many other Riddle, Gallagher and Loiseau cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday March 15 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church on Sunset Rd. in Willingboro, NJ at 10:30 a.m., preceded by a viewing beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be private.
