Frank Linardo Obituary

FRANK J. LINARDO, 85, of Mays Landing, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015, after a brief illness. Frank was born and raised in Philadelphia, and was the son of the late James and Jennie Linardo who were originally from Montecorvino Rovella, Italy. He was a graduate of Roman Catholic High School, class of 1946, and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from LaSalle University in 1950. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Signal Corps and served in the Army of the Occupation after World War II in Frankfurt, Germany. Frank retired from the Social Security Administration in Bridgeton after nearly 40 years of dedicated service with the agency. He was a devout member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish for 48 years. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Marie (nee McEntee) and his eight children: James (Lisa), Thomas (Diane), Jane McClory, Carol Widerker (Robert), Susan, Mary Grace Moore, Francis (Tracy), and Kathleen Fleming (Jason). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Matthew, Sean, Kyle, Michael, Meaghan, Alex, Nicholas, Aidan, Frank, and Anne Marie. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Linda Claire, and his son-in-law William McClory. Family and friends may call at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 5021 Harding Highway, Mays Landing, on Saturday, March 7, from 10 a.m. – 12 Noon, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Burial immediately following in Holy Cross Cemetery.
