Gale A. Rocap of Egg Harbor Township passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Shore Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 13, 1937 in Trenton, NJ to Jack and Helen Mitchell. She was a graduate of Pleasantville High School class of 1955. She retired from Shore Orthopedics as a medical biller. She was previously employed by the New Jersey Air National Guard as a supply secretary. She also owned Johnnies Restaurant in Mays Landing with her husband Dick for 10 years. Gale enjoyed reading, watching the Food Network, traveling to Lancaster, PA and rooting for the Miami Dolphins. Her favorite holiday was Christmas which she loved and she enjoyed spoiling her family. She is predeceased by her parents and her sister Kathryn Nicely. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her husband of 59 years Richard "Dick" Rocap, her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Joseph Mastrolia, her son and daughter-in-law Richard and JoAnn Rocap, her grandchildren, Kristina and Raymond Beyer, Megan and Kenneth Schultz, Richard Rocap III, and Carly Rocap. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Brianna, Alexis, Brandon and Olivia Beyer, Justin Suits and Jillian Schultz. She is also survived by a large extended family. A viewing will be held on Friday, August 7, from 9-11 AM at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where services will be held at 11 AM. Burial will be in the Atlantic Co. Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her name to St. Jude's Hospital for Children, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.
