George Hickman

George J. Hickman, Jr., “Poppie and PopPop”, age 80, of Mays Landing, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2016. He joined the Air Force and was with the 101st Airbourne Division for three years and was honorably discharged. He worked for 32 years at Atlantic Plate and Glass of Atlantic City then moved onto working at the Auto Plaza of EHT for 19 years before finally retiring due to his health. He enjoyed going on cruises, the casino, working in the yard, spending time with his family, and having a good time. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Yvonne; five daughters: Donna, Cathy, Michele (Doug), Ann-Marie (Charles), and Denise (Mike); one son George J. Hickman III; and son-in-law John Donohoe; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Debbie & Bill Scull and Diana & Bill Gill; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Catherine Bader, three sisters, two brothers-in-law, and furry companion Princess. A Celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
