Raff, Gladys A. ("Mom-Mom") of Mays Landing, died peacefully at home on May 28, 2009, surrounded by her family and dear friends. Gladys was the daughter of the late Earle and Lillian Bruner of Vineland where she was born and raised. She moved to Mays Landing where she lived on Morningside Drive for over 37 years. She was the loving wife of the late Werner Raff and mother to the late Bryan Raff. She was a graduate of Vineland High School and after moving to Mays Landing she attended Atlantic Community College. While living in Vineland, Gladys worked as a shoes salesperson, dance instructor and switchboard operator. She had many artistic hobbies over the years from knitting, photography, painting, and drawing to basket making. She was always there to help her family and all those that came into her life. She opened her heart and home to the neighborhood kids and her friends in need over the past thirty five years; Gladys loved and was dearly loved by her family and friends. Her laughter, talks and acts of kindness will be sadly missed by all those who love her. She touched the lives of many and for that she will never be forgotten. She is survived by her sons, Edward S. Raff and Werner "Buster" Raff and Margie, her loving grandchildren Joshua, Jessica and Rebecca. She is also survived by her sister Sharon and her husband Edward Dilks and Michael. A service of celebration will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, where friends may gather from 10 AM until the time of the celebration.
