Harold Scholl

Harold J. Scholl, 91, of Mizpah, passed away on March 17, 2013. Harry was born on January 15, 1922 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the son of the late Alfred Scholl and Cecilia Scholl. He graduated from Westview High School in 1940. He was an avid outdoorsman and gun enthusiast who thoroughly loved hunting. He was a faithful Pittsburgh Steelers fan his whole life. Harry served in the Marine Corp in World War II and was a lifetime member of the Mizpah Volunteer Fire Company. He was the oldest surviving member of the original fire company. His wife of 57 years, Dorthea, passed away in 2003. He is survived by his two daughters: Vicki Mazur of Delmar, DE and Sharon Prokurat of Lancaster, PA; son-in-law Jim Mazur; grandsons: Andy Prokurat and Aaron Mazur; granddaughter Michelle Prokurat; and great-granddaughter Brianna. In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. He is also survived by a sister, Mary Jane Scholl and brother Robert Scholl. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 20, from 10-11 AM, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where services will be held at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Mays Landing.
