Henry Mariner Obituary

Henry H. Mariner,"Harry", of Belcoville, passed away on September 30, 2009. He was born on August 28, 1937 to Dorothy and Henry Mariner. He served in the US Army where they called him "Sarge." After his service he began his career as a painting contractor in the Mays Landing area where he did residential and commercial painting for over 35 years. Henry was a Past President of the Weymouth Township Democratic Club, Past President of the Mays Landing Rotary where he was also a Paul Harris Fellow, a Past Member of the Mays Landing Chamber of Commerce, one of the first members of the Juvenile Family Crisis, member of the Star Lodge of Tuckahoe, Member of the Unity Lodge #96 F&AM of Mays Landing, Member of Pineland Lodge #86 in Palataka, FL, Charter Member of the Weymouth Twp. Historical Society, and the first male member of the Belcoville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. He was predeceased by his son Henry. Harry leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Andrea; two daughters: Andrea "Bungie" Vergata and her husband Michael and Alisa Owen and her husband Brian; six grandchildren: Sarah, Allison, Rebecca, Audrey, Zachary, and Kyle; his brother Edward and his wife Irene; loving nieces and nephews, and his dear friends Ron Detrick (Smokey) and Richard Spendiff. A viewing will be held on Saturday 12 Noon - 2 PM, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where Masonic Services will be held at 2 PM followed by words of comfort by Rev. John Ash. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the church of your choice in Henry's memory.
