Gallagher, James Joseph, 64, of Ocean City, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2009. He was born in Atlantic City and grew up in Egg Harbor Township, where he was a roofer for many years. He is predeceased by his parents James and Caroline Gallagher; his two brothers: Michael J. Gallagher and John W. Gallagher; his nephew Michael J. Gallagher, Jr., and his cousin George W. Gallagher, who have all been missed dearly as James will also be. He is survived by his son, Jessie James Gallagher of Linwood; his brother Charles L. Gallagher and his wife Barbara Gallagher of North Carolina; 15 nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law: Joan Gallagher of West Virginia and Carol Gallagher of Galloway. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends, who have shared fun times and made good memories with him. We will all miss his good humor, quick wit, and great personality. He will be missed mostly because of his kind and generous nature. A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday 6-7 PM, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where a memorial service will be held at 7 PM.
