Jeffrey B. Steele, 37, of Mays Landing passed away peacefully Sunday, April 15, 2018 with his family by his side after a long courageous battle with cancer. Jeff was born in Hammonton, NJ. He graduated from Oakcrest High School Class of ’98 and worked at Schairer Brothers Saw Mill. Jeff was a kind hearted, caring, fun loving guy who brought laughter and joy everywhere he went. Jeff always said his goal was to bring the most happiness for the longest amount of time to everyone in his life. He always found time to lend a hand or be a support to everyone who came in contact with him. Whether he was fishing, playing music, woodworking or gardening, his passion and talent shown through in all he did, equaled only by his desire to share his passion with his family and friends. Above all else, Jeff’s love was expressed through his family. Jeff is predeceased by his dad, Warren Steele, grandparents Rexford and Catherine (nee: Bruno) and Josephine Perna (nee: Berlin). He is survived by his wife Melinda (nee: Tran), daughters Ivy and Abby and his son Troy. He is also survived by his mom Debby (nee: Freeman), brothers Matthew, Sean and Anthony, godmother Bernadette Gioia, dog Marley “Marbles”, also aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and the best friends anyone could ask for. A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, NJ on Saturday, April 21st from 2pm-5pm with a service at 5pm.
