Johanne Ressler

Johanne Marie Ressler, 87, of Mays Landing, NJ received her wings and was called home by the Lord on March 28, 2019 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Johanne Ressler, was born in Hollidaysburg, PA on November 5, 1931, daughter of William and Ellen Baker and Loving wife of Wesley D. Ressler for 59 years. She is survived by her son James Ressler; and three daughters: Brenda Anthony, Connie Reiter, and Gail West; and sons-in-law Timothy Anthony and Thomas West; five grandchildren: Candice Marsh, Amber and Timothy Anthony, Tommy and Matthew West; and two great-grandchildren: Heidi and Dominic Marsh. Johanne was a store window decorator for Murphy’s Department Store, before settling into marriage and raising her family. She later worked as a crossing guard for the Township of Hamilton, Managed Dunkin Donuts, and worked in the Wheaton Glass Factory, before opening Ceramic World Enterprises. Johanne loved spending time with her family, they were her life. Outside of her family, her passions were roller skating, sewing and working in her Ceramic Shop. She loved teaching classes, especially to the Children and looked forward to her time with her customers. She also enjoyed her music, playing the accordion and organ. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd from 10am to 11am at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 5021 Harding Highway, Mays Landing, NJ where a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, Masses and Prayers are always welcome. Memorial Donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
