John Edward Bittner, of Dorothy, NJ, passed away on January 5, 2010. He lived most of life in Philadelphia. Retired from the City of Philadelphia. Survived by wife Helen; daughter Jeanette (Frank); sons: John Jr. and Joseph (Anita); 8 grandchildren: Brian, Breanna, Stephanie, Tommy, Joey, Josh, Jake, and Johnny; sisters: Francis & Margaret; brother Bill; and numerous nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Saturday 9-10:30 AM, Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Route 50 & 2nd St., in Mays Landing at 11 AM Saturday. Burial will be in the Atlantic Co.
