John Michael Dorman, 52, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2010 after a long battle with COPD. John was born in the Bronx, NY and raised in the Harding Lakes section of Mays Landing. He owned a renovation and restoration company. He was loved by his family and friends. To know him was to love him. John enjoyed canoeing, working on his house, cars, and yard. He loved hard, played hard, and worked hard his whole life and was a blast to be around. John recently became a proud grandfather to Alexander. He is predeceased by his mother Josephine, father Jerry, brother Jimmy and sister JoAnn. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Shirley; his four children: John, Laura (Marcus), Kristin, and Jamie; and sister Janice. John will be deeply missed. A viewing will be held on Tuesday 11 AM - 1 PM at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St, Mays Landing, where services will be held at 1 PM. Burial will be in Mays Landing.
