John Haslam Obituary

John “Jack” Haslam, Sr., of Mays Landing, formerly of Delran, NJ, passed away October 26, 2013, at his home. Mr. Haslam was born to the late, George and Catherine (nee: Leonard) Haslam. Jack served in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1952-1955. He then worked for McNultey Fuel Service of Riverside, NJ; McAllister Service of Pennsauken, NJ; and Davis Enterprise of Marlton, NJ. Jack was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church and the VFW Post 220 in Mays Landing, NJ. Predeceased by his parents and his sister, Dorothy Kipfer. He is survived by his wife Lena (Ross) Haslam; his sons: John G. Haslam and his wife, Carol of Gloucester, NJ; Thomas J. Haslam, Sr. of Delanco, NJ; and Daniel J. Haslam and his wife, Suzanne of Stafford, VA; his grandchildren: Amanda Harkins and her husband Charlie of Delran; Melissa Haslam of Stafford, VA; and Thomas, Jr. and Molly Haslam, both of Mansfield, NJ; his great-grandson, Jack Harkins. Jack is also survived by his brother, George Haslam of Mt. Laurel, NJ and many other nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, 11:00am, at the St. Vincent de Paul Church, 5021 Harding Highway, Mays Landing, NJ; where a viewing will be held from 9:30am until the time of the Mass. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s memory can be made to St. Vincent de Paul Building Fund, 5021 Harding Highway, NJ 08330.
