John Washington

Mr. John James Washington son of Marie Washington and Angus James Washington brother of Ricky Salamone, Diana Salamone, and Christine Washington was born on September 6th, 1972 in New Jersey. He attended the public schools of Williamstown, NJ. His childhood was full of love and wonderment. His bond with his siblings were unbreakable. He held family close to his heart and gave his time whenever possible with them. At an early age his love of music led him to become a disc jockey and to meet the love of his life. Mr. Washington was united in Holy matrimony to Elizabeth Nazario in Mays Landing, NJ on the 4th day of August 2016. The union was blessed with many times of happiness, love of fishing and great music that will echo on for generations to come. Their love transcended thru thousands of miles being apart, withstood the stressors of home renovations, and uniting of a blended family. Their love was wholly, unconditionally and without barriers, restrictions, judgements, or expectations. Mr. Washington’s boisterous, loving, and benevolent personality made it inconceivable for any acquaintances not to treasure their relationship. His many travels as a truck driver allowed him to encounter many people. He was loved by all who had the pleasure of being a part of his life. His influence and generosity knew no bounds. His bonds of friendship were considered family for their profound meaning and high regard. Mr. Washington’s love for his daughters Jalisa, Ciera and grandchildren Elisa, Edwin was immeasurable. He adored any and all time spent with his children and grandchildren. The memory of the time spent with them will forever be imprinted in the minds of all who was present. His affection and devotion to his children and grandchildren knew no limits. His beautiful life will forever be cherished by his children Ciera Washington, Jalisa Washington, his grandchildren Elisa Marie Cotto, Edwin Mark Cotto, his mother Marie Washington, His sisters Diana Salamone, Yvonne Harris, and Christine Washington, his brother Ricky Salamone, and good family friend Mark Emmett, also his friends, his extended family and beloved wife Elizabeth Nazario. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 4pm to 6pm at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, NJ where a service will be held at 6pm.
