Joseph Klein Mays Landing, New Jersey Obituary

Joseph Klein

Klein, Jr., Joseph “Tucker” 63, of Egg Harbor Township, died on Sunday, March 18, 2012. Tucker, as he was often called, was born in Salem, NJ. He worked for Atlantic Electric for 35 years immediately after finishing four years with the United States Navy. He was a devoted family man. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Donna; their son Raymond, his daughter-in-law, Elizabeth, and his only grandchild, Emma. Although he may have had only one grandchild, he was known by many children as Pop Pop Tucker. Tucker loved all of his “grandchildren” very much, but he especially lit up when his “little “Missy” walked into the room. From the day his granddaughter was born, Tucker would never be the same. She wrapped him around her little finger, and they were best of buddies from there on out. Tucker was heavily involved with the Boy Scouts as his son was growing up. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and sharing stories from his childhood. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Tucker is also survived by his parents, Tom and Bertha of Salem; his brothers Tim (Nancy) and Brian; his sisters: Iris, Arlene (Audie) and Joyce; and many nieces and nephews. He had many friends that he held dear to his heart. A viewing will be held on Friday, from 9-11 AM, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where services will be held at 11 AM. Burial will follow at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor. Memorial donations may be made to Shore Medical Center Foundation, 1 E. New York Ave., Somers Point, NJ 08244. On the memo line of your check, please note: Dialysis Unit in memory of Joseph Klein.
