Joseph Mathews

Joseph W. Matthews, 92, of Estell Manor, passed away on December 14, 2009. Born and raised in Atlantic City, he worked as a baggage handler for the P.R.S.L Railroad. Joseph moved to Estell Manor 40 years ago. He is predeceased by his wife, Thelma M. Mathews (nee: Lovett), and his son Joseph J. Mathews. Joseph is survived by his 2 children: Leonard W. Mathews of FL and June Surig and her husband Rollin of Mays Landing; his 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Friday, from 2:00-3:00pm, followed by services at 3:00pm at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, NJ. Burial will be private.
