Hardesty, Joyce Mary (nee Hopkins), 67 of Somerdale, New Jersey, formerly a long time resident of Mays Landing, NJ passed away on the morning of January 26, 2009. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Walter Hardesty and the dear mother of the late Robin Ann Hardesty. She is survived by her brothers Thomas Hopkins and John Hopkins, her son James Hardesty, and four grandchildren, Kristina Pessolano, Stephen Sabo, Josh Hardesty, and Amelia Hardesty. She will also be missed by many other relatives and kin. Joyce was a long time employee of Resorts Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City where she had earned numerous awards due to her dedication and hard work. Even when she had left Resorts Casino she continued to apply her morals of dedication and hard work in every aspect of her life. A mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday January 30, 2009 at St. Vincent De Paul Church, 114 Route 50 in Mays Landing New Jersey 08330. Mass and Inquaries were taken care of by Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main Street Mays Landing New Jersey 08330. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family of the deceased.
