Karen Sobel

Sobel, Karen Diane (Wojcik) - of Northfield, passed away on June 13th 2007. Karen was born on January 30th 1949 in Huntington, NY to the late Minnie (Oxtoby) Wojcik, and Alfred Wojcik. She relocated to the Atlantic City Area in 1978, and in 1980 she married the late Stewart M. Sobel. She recieved a Bachelor's degree from Richard Stockton College and a Master's degree from Temple University while raising her two children, Benjamin and Robyn Ashley Sobel, born 1981 and 1986. She worked as a Speech Pathologist with multiply handicapped children at ACSSSD for close to twenty years. Fun-loving and generous, she deeply touched all those around her. Predeceased by both her parents, her brother Edward Wojcik, and her former husband, she is survived by her brother, John Wojcik, her two loving children, her daughter-in-law Tanya (Reynolds) Sobel, and her grandchildren. The memorial service will be held privately at the request of her family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Karen's honor to Operation Smile, and the American Diabetes Association.
