Kevin “Pune” Southavong, age 51, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 13, 2018 in his home in Mays Landing, NJ. He was born July 7, 1967 to Kham and Doungta Southavong. Kevin worked as a tables games supervisor in Trump Taj Mahal, Maryland Live Casino and MGM. While working in the casino industry, he attended Atlantic County Institute of Technology, graduating with a certification in heating and air conditioning. Kevin loved working with his hands, being the go-to guy for repairing homes, cars, anything. When not being a handyman, you would always see him at Lao gatherings, singing and playing various instruments. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren because to him, family is important. Kevin is survived by his brothers and sisters; Khampay, Oun, Tune, Karen, Tommy and Maggie, wife; Brenda, children; Tiffany, Stephanie, Brittany and Melony, grandchildren; Armani, Sincere, Faith, Ava, Levi, Lilliana and Avery. Family and friends are invited to the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St, Mays Landing, NJ 08330 on Tuesday, August 21, from 12:30pm to 2:30pm and later to Laurel Memorial Cemetery, 301 English Creek Ave, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234 for the cremation.
