Thomas, Louise C., 84, of Pleasantville, N.J. passed away June 29, 2007 at Our Lady's Residence Nursing Home where she had been a resident for over 5 years. Born on June 1, 1923 in Glenside, Pa., she was the oldest of four daughters born to the late Almet and Elsie Willets. Louise spent most of her life living in Atlantic City and surrounding Atlantic County communities. In 1939, at the age of 16, she earned her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse and continued as an LPN and Private Duty Nurse until her retirement. Her life was spent in service in her profession and to her family. She was a long standing member of St. Andrew's By-the-Sea Lutheran Church in Atlantic City, N.J. She is survived by her son, Almet Thomas of Millville, N.J.; granddaughters Lisa Cunningham of Reinholds, Pa. and Melissa Klecz of Laurel Lake, N.J.; 3 great-grandchildren Lisa Kelly, Shauna Cunningham and Nicholas Klecz. She is also survived by her sisters Emma Solitare of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and Helena Perri of Northfield, N.J. She is predeceased by her youngest sister Elizabeth Ramos formerly of Mays Landing and Egg Harbor, N.J. Family and friends are invited to attend a service to be held on Tuesday, July 3, at 11:00am at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing. Friends may call from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Leed's Point Cemetery, Leed's Point, N.J.
