Margaret Ann Donahue Obituary

Margaret A. Donahue, (Peggy), 78, of the Oaks of Weymouth, passed on October 1, 2017. Born in Montgomery County, PA to the late Arthur and Rosalie Conroy. Peggy lived in Haddon Hts., Camden County, River Winds, Gloucester County, and now in Weymouth, Atlantic County.


Peggy graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1957 and married in 1958 to John. Peggy Devoted her life to her children and was a stay-at-home mom until her last child entered high school.


Peg enjoyed our many family vacations at the shore and various east coast locations. Dining out was a favorite as well as travel and cruising. Peg’s hobbies were gardening, home “gourmet” cooking and the boards and casinos. Devoted to her catholic faith, she attended church regularly and participated in various ministries. Peg’s last parish is St. Vincent de Paul, and Peg was active in the Rosary and Food Pantry ministries.


Peg is survived by husband John; sister Maureen Bennett (Tom); and eight children: Terri, John, Jeanne, Kathy McHugh (Mike), Paul (Debbie), Margaret Liquori, Colleen Reichert (Frank), and Matt; seventeen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Church, on Thursday, October 5th, at 11 AM. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, adjacent to the church, following the Mass.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peggy’s memory to St. Vincent de Paul Church, 5021 Harding Hwy., Mays Landing, NJ 08330.
