Ireland, Margaret (Peggy) A., 73, of Mays Landing, passed away peacefully in her sleep with loving husband by her side on August 31, 2011. Born in Germania Gardens, NJ on December 19, 1937, she resided in Egg Harbor City before moving to Camden, TN in 2008 after retiring from Walmart in Mays Landing. Peggy loved anything that involved her husband and family. She loved antique car shows, traveling in “the camper”, Elvis, Loretta Lynn, and crocheting. Christmas was cherished the most with grandchildren and families gathered tightly together. Peggy will be sadly missed and never forgotten by her beloved husband and soulmate Thomas T. Ireland; her five children: Debra R. (Frank) Jones, George W. (Mary Ellen) Henry, Jr., Doreen (Joseph) Devlin, Holly (David) Rosado, and Vickki (Michael) Merlino; 17 grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother Ernie Langbein, Sr.; one sister Patsy Thompson; numerous other relatives; her two life-long best friends Georgette Gaines and Phyllis Taylor, and her beloved dog, Missy. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Langbein. Family and friends may gather to celebrate her life on Saturday from 10-11:30 AM at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where reflections will be shared at 11:30. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation, 61 W. Jimmie Leeds Rd., Pomona, NJ 08240. Donations will be used to enhance their Stroke Program.
