Margaret Ryan

Margaret Hoffman-Ryan, 94, of Mays Landing, passed away peacefully at home to go on and be with family, friends, and Jesus in Heaven on December 21st, 2017. Margaret (Midge) was pre-deceased by her parents Catherine and Francis Hoffman and her beloved sisters Theresa, Catherine, and Marie, all of Secaucus, NJ area. She is survived by her two children: Henry Ryan (Kim) of Las Vegas and Eileen Huettl (Howard) of Mays Landing; her five grandchildren: Melissa Ryan of Belford, NJ, Kimmy Koempel (Frank) of Hazlet, NJ, and Lisa Brown, William Huettl, and Jessica Huettl of the Mays Landing area; and nine great-grandchildren: Emily, Kyle, Katlin, Ryan, Haylee, John, Julianna, Ashly, and Alexa that she loved very much. Midge moved to Mays Landing in 1995 to be near family following her retirement from the 25-year career at the Charles-of-the Ritz facility in Hazlet, NJ. She enjoyed “country living” in the Laureldale Community of Mays Landing and the friends and relationships that formed in town, at church, and thru the Hamilton Township Senior Center. While she was still able, she was a regular attendant at St. Vincent de Paul Church. She truly loved the Lord. She was/is the family “Prayer Warrior.” Midge was also an avid animal lover and supporter. Midge has been the family Matriarch. Each of us has come to recognize her significance in our lives and the true blessing our time and relationship with her has been. Her perspective, wisdom, faith, hope, caring, humor, and unconditional love has inspired each of us to be more. She will be deeply missed. We Love you Mom/Grandma!!! A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 26th from 10-11 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 5021 Harding Highway, where Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM. She will be laid to rest at 2:30 PM in the family plot in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
