Marion Cheval, age 84, passed away peacefully August 25, 2018. She had roots in Pennsylvania and lived in New York and New Jersey. Marion was a heart transplant recipient and survivor of 16 years. She was an animal rights advocate and lover having adopted and cared for numerous injured and abandoned animals, mostly cats, throughout her lifetime. She was an avid equestrian and swimmer; she loved classical music, art, and literature. Marion was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Edmund. She is survived by her sister, Laura, and brother, Gerald and his wife Beverly. She is survived by daughters Stephanie, Jennifer and Cynthia and two sons-in-law Russell and Rick; three grandchildren, Russell, Tomas and Richard and daughter-in-laws Alicia, Nyssa and Olivia. She is survived by great-grandchildren Stella, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Kimberly, and Nikole. May she be at peace. The viewing will be held Thursday, August 30, 2018, from 12pm-2pm at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, NJ, followed by a private burial. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations to North Shore Animal League or the American Heart Association are appreciated.
